I’m dating a guy I met online and I really like him. Fortunately he feels the same way and several dates in it’s going in a great direction. There’s only one problem… in his profile he failed to include that he’s hearing impaired. I don’t care about that at all, but I feel that his not mentioning it out of the gate is a red flag regarding honesty.
Just out of curiosity… does your profile include that you’re of normal hearing and your eyesight is 20/20? Perhaps this really, really great guy is just that- a really, really great guy who happens to look at his hearing ability no different than you or anyone else looks at theirs. I suggest to stop looking for a problem and continue enjoying this new guy… sounds like he’s making your heart beat faster than the speed of sound!
How do you handle Tinder matches who appear to be within five to ten miles from you when in fact they’re just local because they’re visiting? This happens all the time to me and it’s so frustrating.
There are two ways to respond. One is to make their trip super great by agreeing to meet up, be a stellar tour guide and enjoy a little one-on-one time knowing that the moment is limited. The other is to tell them to have a great time and wish them a safe trip home. Yes, it’s frustrating to match with someone who’s transient, but the worst thing that can happen is that you make a new friend, and that’s not so bad.
I know I’m not the first and won’t be the last to fall for this, but what’s with guys on apps who say they’re single when in fact they’re married with kids?
Simple… the guy wants you to read the article so he’s not going to give you an honest headline. Would you have swiped right if his profile divulged the fact that he’s a married father looking for DL action? Seeing you ask this question, obviously you wouldn’t. All you can do with it, like any newspaper article that doesn’t float your boat, is to turn the page and read on until you find a story that does.
